About the Role
Not every technology leadership role gets the chance to change how an entire organisation works.
This one does.
At the City of Casey, we're creating a new leadership role to help us unlock greater value from our enterprise technology platforms and drive meaningful change across one of Victoria’s fastest-growing communities. We're looking for a leader who sees technology as more than systems, projects and upgrades. Someone who understands that the real opportunity lies in helping people work smarter, improving customer experiences, simplifying processes and ensuring investments deliver measurable value. This is your opportunity to build a capability, influence organisational priorities and create lasting impact.
As our Head of Enterprise Platforms, you'll help us cut through complexity and ambiguity to ensure effort is focused on the initiatives that create the greatest value for our organisation and our community. You'll establish a value-led delivery capability that helps Casey make informed decisions about where to invest, what to prioritise and how to achieve the best outcomes.
Initially focused on our TechnologyOne OneCouncil platform, you'll shape a broader enterprise platform strategy that supports continuous improvement, operational excellence and customer-focused service delivery. This is a role for a leader who enjoys operating across the full spectrum of leadership. One moment you'll be working with executive leaders to shape strategic direction and investment decisions. The next you'll be partnering with delivery teams to remove barriers, guide priorities and create momentum.
You'll work alongside business leaders, technology specialists, delivery partners and vendors to solve complex problems and deliver practical outcomes. Most importantly, you'll build a function that embeds value realisation into the way we work, ensuring improvements are not simply delivered, but adopted, sustained and measured.
What You’ll deliver
In your first 12 months you will:
- Build and lead Casey's Enterprise Platforms capability.
- Establish a high-performing team of platform specialists, project professionals and delivery experts.
- Enhance and optimise the TechnologyOne OneCouncil platform.
- Create a scalable operating model that can support future enterprise platforms and technology-enabled improvement initiatives.
- Embed clear governance, prioritisation and benefits realisation practices.
- Strengthen partnerships across the organisation to ensure technology investments align to business outcomes.
- Help Council identify opportunities to improve services, optimise costs, increase efficiency and deliver greater value to our community.
What You’ll Bring
- You're a proven leader who is comfortable navigating both strategy and execution. You know how to move from big-picture thinking to practical delivery without losing sight of either.
- You have experience leading enterprise platforms, technology-enabled transformation, service improvement or complex delivery portfolios, but more importantly, you know how to build trust, influence decisions and bring people together around a common goal.
- You ask good questions. You challenge respectfully. You create clarity where others see complexity.
- You can balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes.
- Most importantly, you're motivated by making things better. Not for the sake of change itself, but because better systems, better processes and better decisions ultimately lead to better experiences for employees, customers and communities.
The Leader We Hope to Find
You'll be collaborative and empowering while maintaining high accountability.
- You'll be comfortable having honest conversations and tackling difficult issues when needed.
- You'll see leadership as partnership rather than hierarchy.
- You'll look beyond your own team and think about what is right for the broader organisation.
- And you'll bring a genuine curiosity about how we can continuously improve what we do and how we do it.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Credit Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Psychometric Testing.
