About the role:


The role of Senior Data Analyst - Regulatory is responsible for interpreting standards, comparing data, enabling delivery of external regulatory and financial reporting. The role is key in supporting the responses to regulatory notices and enquiries (including management of end-to-end delivery of regulatory notice responses, stakeholder engagement and facilitation, and data / document review).

The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with its regulatory obligations by taking responsibility for responding to regulatory notices and queries in a timely, comprehensive and accurate manner. This position will also support the business in monitoring data quality processes, identifying data quality issue patterns, applying remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the delivery of Momentum's external regulatory performance reporting obligations, as well as associated internal management reporting;
  • Interpret data identified to determine whether it meets regulatory and compliance requirements;
  • Engage with identified Business Partners and Data Stewards to validate the data proposed to be used for reporting;
  • Analyse and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability, minimise redundancies and will work collaboratively with data team to develop data quality standards.
  • Building risk and compliance reporting for diverse and various key stakeholders;
  • Provision of documented analysis for each data source and defined reporting concept;
  • Design, implementation and management of a robust framework and procedure for delivery of reporting objectives, to ensure reports are delivered accurately and on time;
  • Assisting the Data Modeller and integration team as required to build regulatory data mart;
  • Provide support and assistance as required for the Platform Stream to investigate issues with data sourcing, mapping and reporting;
  • Acting as the Regulatory and Compliance report SME to continuously improve, develop, deploy and support reporting requirements required by regulatory bodies.

About you:

  • Significant experience in a similar role, gained in Finance, Energy or other large service based organisations
  • Experience in the preparation of written reports for senior management or external regulatory bodies
  • Commercial experience working with large data set
  • Commercial experience in a compliance or regulatory reporting role
  • Strong understanding of databases and data structures.
  • Strong technical understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information and interrogate results through query of business processes
  • High attention to detail and be driven to present information with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.
  • Ability to write various documents such as functional requirements.
  • Strong skillset on Data Extraction and Analysis including technical competencies with SQL, MS Excel VBA is an advantage
