About the Position

The Health & Wellness Area Manager will lead the delivery of the innovative programs and services that align with community needs future industry trends. They will drive key business initiatives while championing our vision of 'Participate Your Way' across the team and broader Active Monash network.

Skills and Experience

  • Leadership & People Management – Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment
  • Strategic Thinking & Business Development – Experience driving business initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning services with organisational goals and future trends
  • Program Development & Service Delivery – Demonstrated success in designing and delivering innovative health and wellness programs tailored to diverse community needs
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Strong skills in building and maintaining effective relationships with internal teams, community groups, and external partners
  • Industry Knowledge – In-depth understanding of current and emerging trends in the health, wellness, and leisure sectors
  • Commitment to Inclusion & Community Impact – Passion for creating accessible, inclusive spaces that support Active Monash’s vision of ‘Participate Your Way

Requirements

  • Employee Working with Children’s Check (if applicable)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check; and
  • Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
  • CPR 
  • First Aid
