About the Role
The role will provide support to the Head of Compliance and Compliance Managers to help ensure icare meets its legal, regulatory and internal policy obligations

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Compliance Officer you will:
• Support the Head of Compliance and Compliance Managers to meet obligations under the NSW privacy legislation, Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and State Records Act 1988 by tracking and managing workflow and monitoring and assigning incoming tasks.
• Support the Compliance team to record, manage and store documents and team artefacts.
• Compile data for external and internal reporting on GIPA compliance, eligible data breaches and general compliance metrics.
• Act as an information source to the business on the Compliance team functions. 
• Assist in managing the enterprise-wide Obligations Register which identifies the obligation owners, defines the obligation and describes its impact on icare.
• Assess and evaluate policies and procedures to support the achievement of the identified compliance objectives and recommend improvements to business operations where necessary.
• Assist the Compliance team in the development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for compliance management across the business.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of enterprise compliance training.
• Develop relationships with management, staff and risk managers to influence and foster a compliance culture.
• Engage with and foster internal and external stakeholder relationships including regulatory relationships. .
 
Skills & Experience 
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience (bachelor’s degree in law or work experience in a legal/compliance environment preferable)
• Experience in compliance and/or risk frameworks desirable.
• Experience in analysing data and reporting on insights and triaging matters and undertaking related administrative duties in a high-volume work environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA) and privacy and health legislation desirable.
