About the Role

The Procurement Advisors works and supports the Head of Procurement Operations to develop strategies, create and maintain strategic relationships, to drive value for money procurement outcomes through the application of innovative and contemporary procurement techniques that support the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of a range of goods and services.

Duties

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Procurement Advisor you will:

  • Validate stakeholder business needs, compile, and source market information and assess risk to inform procurement planning and category management
  • Implement and contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance, and negotiate contract variations by developing effective supplier relationships to enhance category outcomes
  • Support in implementing category plans using category management processes to support business needs and category strategy
  • Train internal and external stakeholders on best practices when using Procurement Central for end-to-end procurement activities. Maintain a training library on the topics.
  • Participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money category outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Broad experience in a procurement role, including knowledge of contemporary procurement best practice.
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a high volume workload and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication and negotiation skills, with strong customer service, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in working with ERP systems, with a particular focus on the procurement module.
