We are now seeking a Workshop Supervisor to play a pivotal role on a recently awarded resource sector construction project in the Pilbara; this role is FIFO on a 2/1 roster with a 35% site uplift.
About our Role
Reporting to our project our Project Manager, this is a leadership opportunity will oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for our plant and equipment, ensuring maximum asset availability.. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, supervising workshop personnel in a FIFO environment, and delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes to support project deadlines.
Your day to day
- Lead and supervise workshop all maintenance activities to ensure overall plant and equipment availability
- Plan and coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Provide support and leadership to a team of HD fitters, mechanics and apprentices in a remote FIFO environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with site safety standards, WA mining/construction regulations, and company HSE policies.
- Diagnose and oversee complex repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment (including. excavators, loaders, graders, and light vehicles).
- Manage workshop scheduling, labour allocation, parts procurement and contractor coordination
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports and asset history documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop team.
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification as a HD fitter or equivalent
- S26 Certificate
- 5 years + experience as a supervisor on similar remote based projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
- Previous experience on Pilbara based construction projects will be highly regarded
