Impactful Contribution: As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in the Pobl Group Repairs and Maintenance Division, assisting senior leaders in making informed financial decisions. Your work directly contributes to the division's strategic thinking and financial success.

Diverse and Challenging: Pobl is a complex Group made up of 10 legal entities providing Housing, Care and Support services across South Wales, with a Group turnover is in excess of £260 million per annum. The annual Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) budget for the Group is c.£100m delivered by 12 budget holders, across 20,000 homes.

Key Collaboration: The role involves assisting the senior leaders in the division with their financial strategic thinking and decision making ensuring financial data is relevant, robust and adds value into the division.

Professional Growth: This role offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, including line management responsibilities and involvement in shaping the company's financial plans.

 

Where does the role fit in?

 

As a Finance Business Partner, your role is at the heart of the Repairs and Maintenance Division, supporting senior leaders in strategic decision-making and financial planning. You will also collaborate closely with the Finance Team, ensuring financial data adds significant value to the division.

 

What skills and experience do you need?

 

We're on the lookout for a dynamic individual who's not just numbers-savvy but also a team leader, a strategic thinker, and a champion of continuous improvement. As a Finance Business Partner, your role will involve managing a multi-million pound budget, reconciliation and analysis thereof to identify risks and opportunities. Ideally, you'll have experience project and programme management within Social Housing. The ability to analysis large datasets and identify trends to prepare reports for senior managers. We need someone willing to challenge the status quo and embrace challenges with enthusiasm, all while being a competent user of Microsoft office and modern management information systems. Your qualifications should include at least a degree level education or equivalent postgraduate qualifications or equivalent senior-level experience and studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification. An understanding of business environments, risks, and challenges would be a great bonus.

What are the pay and benefits? 

  • £ 56,143 for a 37 hour full time permanent position. 
  • 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service
  • Agile working with location flexibility required mainly at our Swansea, Cardiff and Newport office for team meet ups. You will be required to attend other areas of the business too, which could involve working throughout South Wales
