Where does the role fit in?
As a Voids Surveyor, you will play a key part in ensuring that all properties are inspected to the highest standards and that the required work is carried out in a timely, cost-effective manner. You’ll work within an established quality control system aimed at exceeding customer expectations, collaborating with both internal and external teams to deliver exceptional service.
This role is vital in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our internal operations and supporting the wider Pobl Group in delivering high-impact services. You’ll also contribute to contractor performance management and health and safety compliance, ensuring all team members are aligned with Pobl's standards and values.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Experience: A background in carrying out inspections for both void and tenanted properties.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of Building Maintenance within the social housing industry and in depth understanding of in house Repairs.
- Technical Skills: Solid data processing abilities, experience using Microsoft Outlook, and versatility working with internal IT systems.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Education: A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in a construction-related subject.
- Driving: A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
What are the pay and benefits?
- Salary £40,727 for a 40 hour, full time, permanent position
- Flexible working policies – this role will have regular time spent in and around the Gwent area. The office base is in Cwmbran. Time can be spent at home and in the office to complete any relevant admin tasks.
- It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence and access to a car
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile
- Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight.
- 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service
