Job Purpose: 

To provide Technical expertise to the Aston Martin Modern Workshop and to carry out routine maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs.

  • Ensuring that the e-PDR system is used to its full potential, and submissions are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Using data from the e-PDR system to drive the SAQ Quality system. 
  • To providing first rate Technical assistance.  .
  • To eliminate the need for repeat visits to the dealer.
  • Reducing ownership and warranty costs in service with regard to replacement parts and labour expenditure.
  • Carry out pre diagnosis road tests
  • Carry out random QC Tests and road tests.

  • Aston Martin Manufacturers Warranty Polices & Procedures 
  • Identify any time constraints, timetables, deadlines etc. within which the job has to operate
  • Must deliver high quality relevant Technical Support in a timely manner
  • Must meet deadlines for resolving Technical issues
  • Must be able to work within a pre-set Technical Services Schedule  
  • Describe typical problems/complexities in the job and the type/nature of decisions made or referred elsewhere and to whom.
    Must present logical and technically accurate solutions to Technical issues that will require detailed interface with Engineering, PVT and Quality
  • Must be able to work under pressure to produce Right First Time fixes to all Technical issues.

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Extensive knowledge of the Company’s products plus an understanding of servicing and maintenance procedures is desirable, as well as possessing the ability to present and communicate at all levels.
  • Candidates applying for this position will ideally hold a HNC/HND in Technical or Production Engineering.
  • NVQ Level 3 Units C21/D32/D33/D36 (An advantage, but not necessary)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A full clean driving license is preferable   
  • Computer & IT Literate

Additional Requirements:

 

The physical requirements are based around the ability to work with little supervised, the individual must also be able to work safely at all times, whether in the workshop or at other sites as required.

This job will suite a very practically minded individual, who is able to work under their own initiative, with a proven track record in the understanding of how to use a logical approach to problem solving.
