THE ROLE
The purpose and objective of this position is to provide leadership to the accounts receivable team and responsible for efficient operations of the function. Including but not limited to billing, records management, resident and client account related queries, overall debtor management. The role will be suitable for someone with attention to detail, exceptional customer service and complaint resolution skills, debtor management skills, good organizational and time management skills
This role is offered on a permanent full time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Accounts receivable (AR) function
- Provides support for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure high-quality invoicing and billing
- Debtor management and supervise debt collection activities including liaison with external debt collectors
- Foster good communication both within the accounts receivable team, the broader finance and administration function and with all other areas of the organisation
- Address client and resident account related queries
- Actioning Medicare reviews, ITF and MTCF adjustment and liaison with Services Australia
- Support the finance team to meet month end closing deadlines
- Manage reporting for external audits and Prudential reporting
- Lead continuous process improvement initiatives and support system changes in the team to achieve efficiencies

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Lead with proven skills in leading the Accounts Receivable Team within the aged care industry. The ideal candidate will have a high level of emotional intelligence when dealing with client and residential accounts – Knowledge of Aged Care funding and billing requirements is essential. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytic and problem solving skills. A proactive approach to identifying process improvement is essential, along with the ability to support system enhancements that drive business efficiency.
Competencies & Behaviours
- Team management and supervision experience (4 years)
- A good understanding of the aged care funding principles
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Suite and database management experience)
- Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Ability to problem solve, applying innovative solutions whilst working within the organisation’s policies, procedures, and values
- Experience using “Epicor”
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
