Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer service? Greenslopes Private Hospital is looking for a professional and customer-focused Switchboard Operator to join our vibrant Administration team.
We have multiple opportunities available.
- 12-month full-time contract to cover maternity leave.
- Permanent full-time Position
About the Role
As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive first impression for the hospital. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will:
- Operate the hospital switchboard and manage incoming and outgoing calls with professionalism and efficiency.
- Provide accurate information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Deliver administrative support across key departments.
- Work as part of a 24/7 rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
What You will Bring
We are looking for someone who is warm, reliable, and thrives in a busy environment. You will need to be a team player with excellent communication and time management skills, and a genuine passion for customer service.
You will also have:
- Previous experience in a switchboard or reception environment (hospital or corporate preferred).
- Clear and articulate phone manner with strong enunciation and etiquette.
- Great listening skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage queries or issues confidently and professionally.
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $29.78 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience, exclusive of penalties and allowances.
