About the Role
As a Food Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals to our patients and staff. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while upholding Ramsay Health Care’s core values of integrity, ownership, teamwork, and positive outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving meals to patients throughout the hospital.
- Supporting meal tray setup and delivery via our tray line.
- Maintaining strict food hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- Assisting with general kitchen duties and stock control.
- Working across a rotating 7-day roster (including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts).
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospital setting (preferred but not essential)
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP knowledge desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certificate II or III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery (desirable)
- Alignment with Ramsay’s values and commitment to patient care

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
