We are looking for a Trade Assistant to join our dedicated and hard-working Diesel Mechanics team.  If you have a mechanical aptitude and enjoy getting your hands dirty while learning on the job? Then this could be the job for you – a challenging and diverse role supporting our Diesel Mechanics.

Position: Trade Assistant

Location: Savill Drive, Otahuhu  

Hours:  Mon-Fri 7am-5pm & 7.00am -12.00pm Saturdays as required

What You’ll Do

The purpose of this role is to support the Diesel Mechanics team in all areas of the workshop. You will be assisting the team and will work alongside the mechanics on range of machinery from commercial vehicles through to forklifts and container handling equipment.

 - Manual labour

 - Assist mechanics

 - General mechanical duties

 - Workshop All-rounder

What We Need

You have a passion for machinery, mechanical aptitude and work well in a team. A good communicator and be willing to roll your sleeves up and get the job done. Enjoy learning on the job and working in a fast-paced environment.

 - Full Class 1 drivers licence

 - Physically fit, motivated with a good work ethic

 - Flexible in your working environment

 - Health and safety conscious with a positive attitude
