Aerial Access is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Hydraulics) in Mt Kuring-Gai, NSW to join the team and deliver the ultimate service to our clients and customers.

The work:

The key responsibility of this role is to ensure the maintenance and regular servicing occurs across our fleet of diesel vehicles, equipment, and machinery including Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) and specialised plant, with a strong focus on hydraulic system

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Hydraulic fault finding and repairs (hoses, cylinders, pumps, valves, leaks, pressure issues) across EWPs and heavy equipment
  • Diagnosing and carrying out mechanical repairs and servicing
  • Inspections, maintenance and repair of driveline, transmissions and sub-assemblies
  • Working across steering, suspension, braking and hydraulic systems
  • Testing and adjusting components to ensure safe, reliable performance
  • Maintaining strong safety standards and compliance with WHS and environmental requirements
  • Occasional site-based work / field service to assess and repair vehicles and equipment when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop environment
  • Minor welding and fabrication work as required

What you will need:

  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Mechanical qualification (Cert III minimum)
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Hydraulic experience (fault finding and repairs)
  • A highly motivated, positive attitude
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working at Heights / EWP licence (desirable)

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience working on EWPs and/or earthmoving equipment
  • Auto Electrical experience highly regarded
  • A valid MR/HR licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and fault finding
