Are you an accomplished property professional who thrives on building partnerships, negotiating strategically, and shaping a scalable property footprint? We are seeking a dynamic National Leasing Manager to join our team and drive the end-to-end leasing function across Australia’s childcare portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Property, Leasing & Procurement, this role sits at the intersection of strategic planning and hands-on execution, balancing long-term growth with day-to-day portfolio management. You will be a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and a key liaison with landlords, agents, and developers, ensuring our footprint supports exceptional early education outcomes.

The role:

  • Lead lease negotiations for renewals, variations, and extensions across ~250 centres, targeting favourable terms aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage critical lease dates, rent reviews, options, and obligations to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely leasing data in our portfolio management system; develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
  • Contribute to a forward-looking three-year property strategy, including market insights, rental benchmarks, and risk/opportunity assessment.
  • Source and evaluate new property opportunities (greenfield and leasehold), conduct feasibility analyses, and support expansion plans.
  • Build and sustain strong landlord and agent relationships, act as the primary point of contact for leasing communications.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and legal to align property decisions with organisational goals.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in property, business, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in leasing, property management, or commercial real estate, preferably with multi-site portfolios.
  • Proven track record in lease renewals, portfolio management, and developing/property strategy.
  • Experience with leasing software and systems management; strong data literacy and reporting capability.
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term needs and long-term property planning.
  • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
