Job Description

The Fiscal and Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive fiscal and administrative support to the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences (CALS) Office of Finance. This position plays a key role in supporting the Assistant Dean of Finance and the broader finance team by processing financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, supporting compliance activities, coordinating fixed asset tracking and network infrastructure services coordination, while also managing administrative functions such as calendar coordination, meeting logistics, and correspondence.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment. They will exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high-quality customer service while interacting with faculty, staff, leadership and external partners supported by a proven ability to independently prioritize tasks, solve problems, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

This position will work closely with all members of the CALS Finance team and report to the Assistant Dean of Finance.

Required Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadline.
• Exhibit good written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education finance and/or budgeting.
• Experience working with multiple funding sources (state funding, foundation funding, grant funding).
