Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Contracts Administrator performs a wide variety of duties in support of the university's leasing and real estate functions including acquisitions and contract administration for leased space, facility management for leased space, and contract administration including general agreements, employee housing and facility use agreements.
Required Qualifications
• Experience independently drafting and editing contracts, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and contract modifications.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience interpreting and applying policies, regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with knowledge of computer applications for data analysis and report development.
• Experience that demonstrates excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with diverse clientele.
• Proficient in use of PC; demonstrated use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and make decisions within prescribed guidelines.
• Notary Public certified or ability to obtain appointment of Notary Public.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or related field; or extensive work related experience.
• Knowledge of state (Virginia) contract management and compliance management policies and procedures.
• Experience as a Paralegal.
