Job Description
This position will work with the IT Operations Manager to provide end-user support to Undergraduate Admissions and other select Enrollment Management departments as needed. This will involve troubleshooting, running diagnostics, repairing computers and equipment, and resolving other technical issues. The Computer Support Technician will assist in performing routing maintenance on installed computer equipment following established procedures and policies, ensuring that computers run optimally and that users are able to work effectively. Position may also assist with Audio/Visual setup and/or events when necessary.
Required Qualifications
• Experience with installing, operating, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software
• Experience installing computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, or similar devices
• Experience with Windows and Mac Operating systems
• Experience in providing good customer service
• Experience with operating and troubleshooting issues with Audio/Visual equipment
• Ability to work within a team to meet departmental needs along with fortifying departmental procedures and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with device and patch management tools such as BigFix, Kaseya, JAMF or Microsoft Intune
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Spiceworks or ServiceNow
• Experience within an IT Help Desk environment or related role
• Experience with managing and troubleshooting Apple mobile devices
• Experience with managing and troubleshooting Linux Operating systems and digital signage
