Job Description

Reporting to the Director of ADA & Accessibility Services (ADAAS), the Case Manager often serves as the initial point of contact for several units in the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education (CRCPE) and must ensure matters are handled in a timely, sensitive, and confidential manner. The Case Manager will support units within CRCPE. The position will create and maintain accommodation case files. The position will manage, distribute, receive, and review ADA forms; create case files; assign cases to accommodation specialists; track case status; and maintain databases related to the ADA interactive process.


The incumbent assists in providing onsite office coverage and with receiving visitors to the office. In this capacity, the incumbent may provide resource information to visitors or callers seeking assistance. The position supports the daily activities of the office including but not limited to: triaging calls/visitors; responding to inquiries on the CRCPE, CRCPE training, and ADA email addresses and handling other office correspondence; referring issues to the appropriate resources; developing and maintaining systems for tracking and retrieving data related to mandated workshops; generating and reconciling reports; assisting and preparing information to meet internal and external reporting requirements; and assisting with event preparation and coordination. The position provides administrative support to directors of different units within CRCPE and provides backup support as needed to the operations coordinator in coordinating fiscal and other operations matters for the department.


This position requires a majority onsite presence to provide onsite administrative support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience with employee and/or student conflict management, or case management.
• Proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Ability to work with sensitive information and in stressful situations in a professional and confidential manner.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with large and diverse audiences.
• Ability to monitor case management using a database or case management software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, employees, and partners.
• Ability to appropriately collect, maintain, share, and safeguard sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Case management experience in a legal or regulatory compliance environment
• Experience with ADA, equal employment opportunity (EEO), civil rights or related compliance laws, regulations, and principles
• Experience in higher education, civil rights compliance, or human resources
• Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data
• Knowledge of digital accessibility and accessible event best practices
• Experience conducting benchmarking research, data analysis, or data entry
