Title: Assistant in Instruction- Environmental Studies
Position Purpose: The Assistant in Instruction in Environmental Studies (ES) works closely with faculty in their courses as well as in field and indoor laboratories in environmental science. The major focus of the position includes teaching and grading for introductory labs in environmental science and preparing laboratory spaces, supplies, materials, and transportation for weekly labs. This work includes coordination with other academic units to secure space and share and access resources as needed. Facility with geographic information systems (GIS) is strongly preferred. Work additionally includes procuring, maintaining, and designing laboratory- and field-based equipment within the environmental sciences and assisting with administrative tasks as needed for the ES program. |

Minimum Qualifications: Education A master’s degree in an environmental science field is required. Experience Previous experience in laboratory management and field- and classroom instruction, along with facility in geographic information systems (GIS), is preferred. Skills and Knowledge
