About the Role

Working in the engineering & projects team’s an opportunity exists for a dynamic & skilled senior project engineer to demonstrate their skills and to continue to grow with the Field Mining Services (FMS) Group. Taking ownership of the project, this position will look to follow the project from initial tendering all the way through to project closeout. Join our fast paced & high performing team where you'll really partner with the business to achieve outstanding results.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing onsite Senior Project Engineering support including cost control, Gantt updates, QA management, technical engineering support.
• Providing office based (Mackay) Senior Project Engineering support including quoting, tendering, building gantt charts, pad layouts, lift planning & technical engineering support.
• Supporting our Project team to improve systems & site documentation.
• Supporting our Engineering team with the design, engineering of new jigs & rolling out new designs/jigs onsite.
• Developing & training junior project engineers
• Contribute to wining & successfully executing projects.

 About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
• 4 yeas + Project Engineering experience working in construction &/or mining
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Be able to demonstrate conceptual, analytical and collaborative skills including the ability to solve complex problems.
• Well-developed computer skills including the use of word processing, MS Project and spreadsheets.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
