The responsibilities of the Research Assistant/Associate are research-related. Research Assistants/Associates provide professional-level support related to research and creative activities that contribute to the mission of the CEDB, under direct supervision by the Director or Principal Investigator. Examples of responsibilities Serves in a research capacity for project within the university, which may include the following duties and responsibilities: • Performs tasks related to specific function/program assigned • Assumes responsibilities and assists faculty members in research and creative activities for a designated research area • Develops work plans in accordance with research objectives • Assists in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data and/or research findings • Assists with development and evaluation of materials related to the scope of the research project • Assists in specialized administrative, technical, or editorial duties connected to research and creative activities • Prepares reports as needed • Supervises/coordinates participants for data collection • Supervises/coordinates scoring of project data • Completes other tasks as assigned by the principal investigator(s) • Works on supporting ongoing research grants and assisting faculty with developing new grant applications. The department is building an applicant pool for temporary, permanent part-time, or full-time opportunities. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis.
