About BaptistCare Warabrook Aged Care Facility
Set amongst picturesque gardens and a host of convenient amenities, the Warabrook Centre is located in the suburb of Warabrook in Newcastle.
As a well-established centre that supports 153 residents, Warabrook’s trained staff provide kind, friendly and personalised services including respite, palliative and dementia care.
About the role
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence.
In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.
This is a casual position.
About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health is essential.
Previous experience in an aged care setting along with understanding of work health and safety practices will be an advantage.
