About BaptistCare Warena Gardens

A premier care centre in the bushland suburb of Bangor, in the Sutherland Shire. Warena Centre is blessed with a welcoming and home-like environment. You can enjoy stunning landscaped gardens and comfortable sitting rooms where you can take in the natural vistas.

About the role
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence.

In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

We have a permanent part-time role offering 40 hours per fortnight. Shifts on offer is Thurs and Fri 9am – 1pm & Sat and Sun- 9am – 3:30pm

We also have 1 casual opportunity available.

About you
The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.

A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health is essential. 

Previous experience in an aged care setting along with understanding of work health and safety practices will be an advantage.
