About the role

Baptistcare Orana are seeking an experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to oversee the Lifestyle and Activities calendar and lifestyle care planning. The role involves developing, implementing, participating and monitoring a Lifestyle program that optimizes the quality of life for our residents.

You will coordinate, participate and manage events and group activities and lifestyle resources, build and develop volunteers, train and support staff in activities to ensure provision of optimum level of person-centered service to all clients.

You will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence. In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

This position is a permanent part time working 56 hours a fortnight.

About You

  • MUST have Cert IV Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent.
  • Be experienced in applying adult learning principles and competencies in teaching and program development
  • Have highly developed relationship building, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Have knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and experience delivering learning outcomes under the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
