We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance and Property Team Leader to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of care and service.

About the Role: As the Maintenance and Property Team Leader, you will provide quality property support and maintenance services to all clients and the site as a whole. You will manage both reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure our buildings, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and car parks are maintained to BaptistCare’s high standards and in compliance with current standards, including Aged Care Quality Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage both reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure high standards and compliance.
  • Develop, train, and lead the maintenance staff.
  • Collaborate with Site Managers and the Area Manager to minimize disruptions.
  • Oversee asset management, including acquisition, disposal, and maintenance of site vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits, including food safety and WHS policies.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives and manage contractors effectively.

About you:

  • Trade Certificate in a relevant field and trade experience preferred.
  • Experience in managing maintenance systems and staff.
  • Hands-on maintenance skills.
  • Experience with operational budgets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to undertake).
  • Experience in budgeting processes.
  • Awareness  of statutory regulations and compliance requirements.
