About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Assistant Accountant with a strong focus on supporting our Retirement Living portfolio. In this role, you will assist in delivering accurate financial accounting services including resident billing, subsidy processing, client account reconciliations, refunds, and month-end support. You will work closely with Retirement Village managers and the wider finance team to provide timely, accurate financial information, support audits and reporting requirements, and ensure effective processes, compliance, and high-quality financial outcomes for our retirement communities.

About you:

  • Formal tertiary qualification in accounting
  • Minimum 3 years workplace experience in a similar role
  • Sound experience in Financial Management Systems
  • Experience in preparation of balancesheet reconciliations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build key relationships
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
