About the Role
Cooinda Court is a warm, welcoming aged care home set among tranquil landscaped gardens. It is one of three homes collocated on a large campus. As a result of an internal transfer within BaptistCare, we are seeking a Residential Manager who can bring strong clinical leadership, commercial focus, and genuine care to this beautiful community.
In this senior operational role, you’ll lead staff, manage resources, and enable residents to experience the best possible quality of life. You’ll oversee daily operations, maintain quality of care and safety standards, manage financial performance to achieve budgets, support AN‑ACC optimisation, and foster a resident‑focused culture grounded in dignity, choice and personalised care.
You will:
- Be directly supported by the Care Team Manager (RN), Educator & Quality Supervisor (RN) and the BaptistCare Innovation & Quality Team
- Oversee the Home’s care, services and environment to ensure residents receive exceptional, individualised support.
- Jointly develop and manage the annual budget, addressing variances promptly and proactively.
- Maximise occupancy, ensure accurate AN‑ACC scoring and subsidy claiming, and support business planning.
- Lead effective workforce planning, recruitment, retention and performance management.
- Maintain a quality improvement approach to enhance care and services, achieve legislative compliance and governance requirements across the home. You’ll adhere to BaptistCare policy procedure and safe work practice.
- Implement monitoring systems to ensure infection prevention and control, clinical practice standards and external service provider compliance.
- Strengthen customer service outcomes through effective complaints management and stakeholder engagement.
- Model a resident‑focused environment aligned with BaptistCare’s Quality of Life approach.

Residents enjoy cosy retreat areas, barbecue spaces, and a recently renovated dining room serving freshly cooked, homely meals. The library, piano room and sewing room offer warm, inviting spaces to relax alone or connect with friends and family. The Home features 68 individual rooms, each partially furnished and ready for residents to personalise with their own treasured items.

About You
You’re an experienced clinical leader with a strong operational lens and a passion for delivering exceptional resident care. You build capable teams, communicate with clarity, and thrive in a dynamic, people‑focused environment.
You will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (post‑graduate qualifications desirable)
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience
- Minimum 5 years management experience leading multidisciplinary teams in aged care (60–100+ beds) or equivalent health care settings
- Experience managing residential aged care Homes within the Aged Care Quality & Safety Standards and the Aged Care Rules
- Direct experience overseeing the achievement of Resident minutes of care targets
- Strong capability in workforce planning, recruitment, retention and performance management
- Demonstrated experience in annual budget development, financial management, analysis of monthly profit & loss results and variable cost management
- High‑level analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication, delegation and relational leadership skills
- Strong understanding of governance requirements, AN‑ACC funding and Commonwealth aged care subsidies
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and achieve outcomes within agreed timeframes and budget
