As we continue to strengthen quality, governance and regulatory assurance across our newly unified national organisation, we are seeking a highly capable Regulatory Assurance & Insights Specialist to provide independent assurance, evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and support organisational readiness in an evolving regulatory environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Innovation & Quality team in a newly created national role where your work will directly contribute to maintaining regulatory confidence, strengthening assurance activities and driving sustained improvement across BaptistCare's services and corporate functions. Reporting into the Regulatory Engagement & Assurance Manager this role supports evidence based assurance that regulatory commitments are implemented, embedded and sustainable over time, helping us continue delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for the people and communities we serve. 

About the Role

This role provides enterprise wide assurance across BaptistCare's regulatory commitments, remediation programs and improvement initiatives.

Working across aged care, home care, disability, housing, retirement living and community services, you will evaluate whether actions are not only completed but are effective, embedded and sustainable in practice. You will conduct assurance reviews, readiness assessments and maturity evaluations, analyse regulatory trends and emerging risks, and translate findings into meaningful insights that strengthen governance, compliance and continuous improvement.

Partnering with leaders across operational and corporate functions, you will play an important role in supporting organisational learning, regulatory preparedness and confidence in BaptistCare's systems, processes and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and validate regulatory commitments, remediation programs and corrective actions.
  • Conduct effectiveness reviews to assess whether improvement initiatives are embedded, sustained and achieving intended outcomes
  • Apply readiness and maturity assessment frameworks to support audits, accreditation activities and regulatory reviews.
  • Maintain assurance registers, evidence trails and governance records.
  • Analyse regulatory activity to identify emerging risks, recurring themes and systemic improvement opportunities.
  • Develop executive reporting, dashboards, scorecards, deep-dive reviews and governance reports.
  • Capture organisational learning and translate assurance findings into practical recommendations.
  • Partner with operational leaders and governance teams to strengthen regulatory readiness, evidence quality and continuous improvement outcomes.

About You

You are an analytical and curious professional who enjoys turning complex information into meaningful insight, stronger assurance and sustainable improvement.

You are comfortable working across complex stakeholder environments and bring the ability to provide objective analysis, constructive challenge and practical recommendations while building trusted relationships.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in governance, compliance, risk management, audit, quality, business, health, human services or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in assurance, compliance, audit, governance, quality improvement, risk management or regulatory oversight.
  • Experience evaluating corrective actions, remediation programs or improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical capability, including interpretation of trends, performance data and assurance outcomes.
  • Experience preparing executive reports, dashboards, scorecards and governance reporting.
  • Understanding of assurance methodologies, monitoring frameworks and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders, service streams and complex organisational environments.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in aged care, disability, home care, housing, community services or other regulated sectors.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory bodies, including the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and NDIS Commission.
  • Qualifications or training in internal audit, assurance, quality management or continuous improvement methodologies.
