About the role:

The Faculty of Science & Technology is recruiting for a Stores and Facilities Coordinator to cover staff leave for a full time fixed-term contract for 3 Months. The position ensures the smooth operation of the Faculty’s store, manage field equipment and vehicle assets, and oversee safety protocols across various facilities. This role is vital in maintaining efficient and safe environments for research and teaching activities.

Key responsibilities:

Under the broad direction of the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee store management including inventory, supplier agreements, deliveries, cost allocations, and disposal processes.
  • Manage the Science Store team and allocate resources effectively.
  • Fleet Coordination
  • Manage storage facilities and liaise with campus services to meet Faculty needs.
  • Ensure safe and compliant shipping, including dangerous goods handling.
  • Manage safety inductions for dangerous goods and autoclave facilities.

About you:

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and inductions.
  • Strong initiative and ability to solve problems and work with autonomy.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory, fleet, or facilities management within the higher education industry is highly desirable.
  • Science background would be preferred.
