About the role:

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our efficient, fast paced and long-standing experienced Finance & Analytics team in supporting the university’s business unit. Operating under broad direction, this role acts as a conduit between business areas and Finance, providing expert financial guidance and analytical support.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert advice and assistance on budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Deliver tailored analytical reporting aligned with individual client needs.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and present it in a clear, compelling narrative tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Train and support staff in the use of finance systems and interpretation of reports.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and maintain assigned cost centres.
  • Build strong professional relationships across the University.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Completed CPA/CA qualification with a minimum 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Callumo & Finance1 system knowledge would advantageous
