About the opportunity:
The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Advisor, Research Grants to play a pivotal role in the end-to-end management of externally funded research projects.
In this dynamic position, you will help strengthen UC’s research capability by supporting grant applications, negotiating contracts, driving compliance, and fostering positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to an environment that enables innovation, quality research, and sustainable growth in research income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key contributor within the Funded Research team, promoting a collaborative, solutions-focused and high-performing culture.
- Manage day-to-day contract negotiation and processing, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating research agreements with external partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Faculties on all matters relating to externally funded research, providing timely advice on funding opportunities, applications, and post-award activities.
- Coordinate the full execution of funding agreements and oversee compliance across the lifecycle of funded projects.
