This is an onsite position- 5 days in office.

About The Opportunity

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel groups with a vast leisure and corporate travel sales network that extends throughout four major regions: Australia and New Zealand, The Americas (specifically the United States, Canada and Mexico), EMEA (the United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland, Europe and the United Arab Emirates), and Asia (including India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan).

Our Americas company is looking for a motivated Credit and Collections Junior Associate to join our dynamic central finance team (CCF) in the corporate business. This role reports to the Credit Control Manager and works with internal teams including other finance teams, operations and sales, and external clients when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires someone with the ability to balance efficiently processing reconciliations and investigating payment queries. You should possess outstanding communication skills, deductive reasoning, as well as knowledge of practices related to debt collection. Candidates for this high volume, fast-paced position, will be required to adopt the following responsibilities:

  • Performs client account payment reconciliations.
  • Research and reconciliation of unapplied credits and open journal entries.
  • Keeps detailed records of collection activities and conversations in our ERP system.
  • Looks for ways to improve our processes and generate efficiencies.
  • Provides exceptional customer service experience to our clients.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, credit and travel industry experience an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives.
  • Excellent professional verbal communication skills, with an ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, particularly numbers, spelling, and dates.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot to meet the needs of the business.
  • Familiarity with ERPs (preferably D365) to analyze payment patterns and enter data.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $51,000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
