As a global leader in engineering, our faculty is one of the largest in Australia, renowned worldwide for the quality and calibre of our teaching, research and graduates. The Civil Engineering department is ranked 29th in the world by the 2017 QS standards and offers you the opportunity to utilise our ground-breaking laboratory facilities.
We are currently seeking two Technical Officers to join an established team of collaborative professionals, committed to providing high-level technical services and assistance to research staff and students. In these roles you will work within laboratories for structures, geotechnical, mining and water or environmental disciplines.
To be successful, you will have a relevant trades certificate as a toolmaker, instrument maker, fitter and turner or another relevant field or be approaching final year completion of your apprenticeship, with the relevant work experience or on-the-job training. Your strong technical and analytical skills, as well as your OHS and Codes of Practice knowledge, will be essential to these roles.
