SA Dental is seeking experienced Dental Assistants to join our OPS 1/OPS2 Dental Assistant Candidate Pools to fill positions as they become available. SA Dental has clinics across a range of metropolitan and country locations. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to Dental Practitioners. This will include preparation of dental materials and equipment as requested and processing, mounting, labelling and filing radiographs. Maintaining infection control and sterilisation practices, you will re-stock clinical areas and maintain dental equipment in a safe and serviceable condition by performing routine maintenance and timely reporting of breakages. You will also undertake clinical administration including arranging patient appointments, interpreters, recalls and referrals as directed, and providing information to clients regarding SA Dental programs, waiting times, appointments, and end of course of care protocol. Providing a flexible service that meets the needs of the clients, you will work in partnership with other team members and contribute and share knowledge with others within the clinic. We also work in partnership with the University of Adelaide to educate and train many of the state's dental professionals, including Dentists and Dental Therapists.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, instruments, materials, procedures and a sound understanding of contemporary infection control and sterilisation procedures. Your ability to work as part of a team, build positive relationships and work collaboratively with others will be essential. A good problem solver who can manage priorities and organise workloads effectively, you will demonstrate empathy and understanding with clients from diverse, cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds.
