Overview

Loxton Hospital Complex provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults & children by local GPs to specialist surgical, obstetrics, outpatients and aged care beds.

We have a dedicated team who are compassionate, caring and highly professional individuals providing aged care services. Our staff members and volunteers play an integral role in the health and wellbeing of clients by providing companionship and support and encouraging independence.  We know that maintaining the link between family, friends and the local community enriches the quality of life of our consumers.  Our goal is to provide quality care that celebrates a sense of self, family and community.

About the Role

We have multiple opportunities for Direct Care Attendants to assist in providing a direct client service to residents of the Residential Care Home.

Duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Bed making
  • assisting with personal hygiene and grooming
  • continence management
  • maintaining mobility/dexterity
  • assisting in care of clients with identified special needs or requirements

Eligibility

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a WHA3 or WHA4 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience. 

Limited experience working with aged, frail or disabled persons in a community/hospital setting is required for WHA3 classification, however, to be eligible for the WHA4 classification applicants must have completed an AQF Certificate Ill relevant to the position.
