Overview

We have a great opportunity for a Clinical Nurse - Diabetes Educator working as an integral part of the Community and Allied Health team.

As the Clinical Nurse – Diabetes Educator, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide nursing services, diabetes education and promote the health needs and issues of communities across the Local Health Network (LHN) in relation to diabetes.

In this role you will assist with providing professional high quality client care to improve client health outcomes and continuously reviewing the model of care in conjunction with the wider team for improved systems, practices and management of diabetes within the LHN.


Eligibility

Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate and have completed or be undertaking Diabetes Educators Course or be willing to undertake the course.

As this vacancy is for the classification RN/M2C applicants must also have at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and have prior experience in diabetes education.
