About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the SAMI Ultrasound team at the revitalised and expanding Repat Health Precinct.

SAMI RHP is a supportive and dynamic department that is growing with the site. You will be scanning inpatients and outpatients, with a broad case mix including; Obstetrics, Gynae, Vascular, General (inc. Small parts) and MSK.

Participating as a member of the SAMI RHP team you will deliver high level imaging with autonomy and professionalism. Working alongside other clinical, medical and administrative staff to give the best level of care for our patients.

Repat is part of South Australia Medical Imaging (SAMI) a statewide service that provides specialist, integrated, multi-discipline, medical imaging services to public and private inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients within 6 metropolitan and 4 country South Australian hospitals.

SAMI is the largest public imaging provider in Australia and employs staff across a variety of disciplines including specialist radiologists, medical physicists, radiographers, sonographers, nursing and administrative support staff. With almost 800 staff, and approximately 600,000 examinations conducted on patients per year, the services provided by SAMI are provided by staff with expert knowledge and experience.

Essential Requirements:

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

  • Registration as an Accredited Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Holds an accredited Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound or its recognised equivalent.
