Overview:

The Senior Policy Officer is a role within the Office for Ageing Well and is accountable to the Principal Policy Officer, Operational Policy and Reform for developing, planning, implementing and delivering integrated, effective and sustainable policy directions, projects and initiatives that support older South Australians.

The position requires undertaking and coordinating processes for developing and implementing projects and policies to support the Adult Safeguarding Unit, the Retirement Villages Unit, the South Australian Seniors Card program and South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well 2020-2025, including reforms related to the independent reviews of the Retirement Villages Act 2016 and Ageing and Adult Safeguarding Act 1995.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving ‘Unsupervised Contact with Vulnerable Groups’ is required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
