About the Role:

As the  Nurse Consultant, your duties may include: 

  • Providing an on-going liaison and support to hospital clinicians and managers in the portfolio;
  • Monitoring waiting list targets and other measures to enhance waiting list management;
  • Coordination and support for redesign initiatives to improve the patient journey.
  • Provides operational advice on the achievement of Performance Goals and achievement of the SAPOM/SALHN Strategies.
  • Actively monitors and manages Waiting Lists to ensure they remains up to date and supports the timely treatment of patients in line with their assigned clinical urgency category.

About you: 

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate
  • At least 3 years post registration experience
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses and or midwives.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives
