Join the General Medicine Team on Ward 4GNS as the Administration Assistant!

As the Ward Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for the provision of administrative, clerical and reception services. In this role, you will be required to work in close proximity to patients and should have a working knowledge of hospital operations and activities. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously, with minimal supervision.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Administration Manager in the Ward 4GNS, as the Administration Assistant, your role will provide a customer-focused reception service for patients, families and other consumers; provide best-practice administrative services to ensure efficient and effective day to day management. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that requests of the patient’s family re visitors are adhered to,
  • Conveying patient transfer, admission and discharge information to the Central Patient and Bed Manager in a timely manner,
  • Contributing ideas to improve administration processes and clerical services,
  • Participating in personal development review on annual basis.

About you:

  • Experience working in a clinical environment,
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills,
  • Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing.
