About the Role:

Embark on a rewarding career path as a Dementia Support Clinical Nurse, where you'll have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals living with dementia and their families.

As a Dementia Support Clinical Nurse, you'll be responsible for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement specific dementia care pathways to enhance the care of individuals and their families. You will also lead dementia pathway education throughout the wards to facilitate a common understanding across the multidisciplinary teams to assist in the progression of care for this patient cohort. These areas of focus will support a more streamlined approach to the care of patients living with dementia who require additional supports to promote a positive quality of life.  

To excel in this position, you'll need a strong clinical background, exceptional communication skills, able to work independently and achieve deadlines, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of those affected by dementia. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of best practices, participate in ongoing professional development, and engage in research initiatives that drive positive change in dementia care.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
