Limestone Coast Health Service is seeking dedicated Rural Generalist Dietitians to join our growing multi-disciplinary team of Dietitians, Allied Health Assistants, Administration Officers, and Food Service Dietitians across the region. Whether you're starting your career or bringing advanced clinical expertise, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a rural healthcare setting. In this role you will opportunity to work across paediatrics, outpatients, in the acute inpatient setting, and in the Residential Aged Care Facilities.

AHP1 Level:

  • Work under the direct supervision of an experienced Dietitian to deliver a comprehensive range of health services tailored to local community needs.
  • Collaborate within a multi-professional team, integrating preventive, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation strategies.
  • Contribute to enhancing health outcomes through nutritional interventions and patient education.

AHP2 Level:

  • Apply clinical expertise and specialised knowledge to independently plan, implement, and evaluate integrated health services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior allied health professionals, assistants, and clinical dietetic students as part of your role.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team, utilising rehabilitative approaches in subacute settings to improve health outcomes and quality of life.
  • The Rural Generalist Dietitian may be required to work within Subacute services in which case the Dietitian will adopt a rehabilitative approach to service provision, (as defined in the Statewide Rehabilitation Clinical Network Rehabilitation Generic Core Competencies Framework). Services will focus on improving health outcomes, functional capacity and quality of life, in accordance with clinical guidelines and models of care.

Must hold a recognised qualification within the Nutrition and Dietetics profession, and be eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
