The Opportunity 

We’re looking for an Operator/ Driver, within our Bulk Liquids division to drive our equipped and maintained Liquid tanker trucks and Prime movers with tanker trailers. We are looking for self-motivated individual who strive to deliver excellent customer service, has strong communication skills, and can service a wide geographical area of our established customers.

You will be required to operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with company regulations, complete all paperwork and records accurately. Candidate is to have a clean driving record, be comfortable performing manual handling and heavy lifting and willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and is keen to learn new skills with great potential for career growth with Cleanaway.

What is in it for you?

As part of closing the gender gap of drivers in the waste management industry, Cleanaway is running a Driver Academy for Women to address substantive equality for female identifying or non-binary persons in the industry by removing some of the barriers preventing them from getting involved. Cleanaway is seeking an individual to participate in an intensive training program which includes licencing and other training required to set you up to be a HR licenced truck driver, followed by ongoing learning for the next 12 months.

Paid 5-week training program will include:

  • Have or willing to obtain Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR/ HC Open- manual)
  • Dangerous goods licence & EPA certification if required
  • All uniforms and PPE provided
  • Training program to become a driver

 

To be part of the program

  • Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months
  • Clean Driving History with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
  • No heavy vehicle driving experience required
  • Passionate about working as a team
  • Excellent customer service ethic
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Resilient attitude
