The Opportunity

Join Cleanaway and play a critical role in shaping the commercial performance of our Health Services business unit. Based in Dandenong South, the Commercial Business Partner, you will operate as a trusted advisor to operational and executive leaders, driving commercial excellence and informed decision making across a complex, high performing business. You will connect financial insight to operational performance, ensuring disciplined cost management, risk oversight and sustainable value creation aligned to Cleanaway’s strategic and customer objectives.

This role requires an owner’s mindset, strong commercial acumen and the ability to navigate ambiguity while influencing outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to translate strategy into financial outcomes, driving commercial discipline, accountability and performance alignment across branches and regions.
• Lead data based financial analysis, modelling and forecasting to inform decision making, identify risks and opportunities, and improve business intelligence capability.
• Own budgeting and forecasting processes, challenging assumptions, analysing scenarios and ensuring delivery against financial targets and long term value drivers.
• Identify and manage commercial and operational risk, embedding strong governance, cost control and performance transparency.
• Lead and support business improvement initiatives, applying project management principles to deliver efficiency, operational excellence and sustainable performance uplift.

About You

• You bring extensive experience in commercial financial modelling, cost analysis, contract management and P and L value drivers within complex environments, such as logistics, operations and manufacturing.
• You demonstrate strong business partnering capability, influencing senior leaders through data driven insight, ethical decision making and disciplined cost management advice.
• You are confident navigating ambiguity and complexity, making informed decisions that balance commercial outcomes with stakeholder and sustainability considerations.
• You adopt an owner’s mindset, taking accountability for outcomes and continuously reviewing effectiveness to improve financial and operational performance.
• You hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business, together with CPA or CA accreditation (preference).
