The Opportunity
The Collections Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of credit collection officers to maximise the collection of cash and minimise aged debt for Cleanaway. This role oversees daily collections activity, develops team capability, and ensures processes align with company and customer requirements.
You will coach and guide the team to achieve KPIs, reduce DSO and aged debt, and implement targeted collection strategies to improve outcomes. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, performance reporting, and managing initiatives to optimise resources and deliver strong results whilst providing first class customer service.
About You
- Proven Team Leader experience in collections or accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of debt collection fundamentals and high-volume environments
- Experience with collection process in the commercial sector, along with experience in executing collection strategies and using technologies
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills and customer service orientation
- Strong reporting capability, analytical skills and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
