The Opportunity

Based in Milton, QLD, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Shared Services team. This role plays a critical part in managing complex reconciliations, improving billing accuracy, and partnering with the business to ensure timely and efficient invoicing.

While still supporting core receivables functions, this position steps beyond transactional processing into ownership of account integrity, RCTI customer management, and continuous process improvement, particularly leveraging Excel and system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolution of discrepancies
  • Manage and maintain RCTI (Recipient Created Tax Invoice) processes, including validation and issue resolution
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
  • Investigate and resolve unallocated and unidentified payments
  • Support receipt allocation, banking and transaction processing
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance reconciliation and reporting capabilities using Excel
  • Act as a key point of contact for AR queries across the business

 

About You

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented AR professional who thrives on problem-solving and ownership of more complex accounts. This is an opportunity for an experienced AR professional to step into a more value-add role,

  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable with a focus on reconciliations and account management
  • Strong understanding of RCTI processes or similar customer-driven invoicing arrangements
  • Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) with a passion for improving processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work closely with operational teams
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. JDE) highly regarded
  • Ability to adhere to Cleanaway internal policies, and ensure compliance from internal stakeholders
