The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Control Room Operator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Dandenong South.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the launch of Cleanaway's new national Control Room, supporting a function designed to enhance driver safety, operational response, and fleet performance across the business. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play an important role in monitoring safety events, supporting operational teams, and helping shape the future success of this new initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the establishment of Cleanaway's new national Control Room
  • Monitor operational and safety events, ensuring timely assessment and action
  • Deliver exceptional support to drivers and field-based operational teams
  • Assist in managing critical incidents in accordance with established protocols
  • Capture and maintain accurate information to support reporting and investigations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and operational performance

About You

  • Experience in control room operations, transport, logistics, emergency services, or similar environments
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm and professional communication style
  • Strong digital literacy and confidence working across multiple systems
  • Resilient, adaptable, and motivated by working in a purpose-driven team
  • Interested in helping shape a new function from the ground up
