The Opportunity
Our Oils and Technical Services team is looking for a Senior Commercial Business Partner to help drive financial performance across a diverse and operationally complex portfolio. Partnering closely with Branch Managers and operational leaders, you will provide commercial insights that support strategic decision-making, improve profitability, and deliver sustainable business outcomes. This is a highly visible role where you will influence performance through strong business partnering and commercial expertise. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with Branch Managers and operational leaders to drive site and portfolio P&L performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Lead month-end reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities across assigned business areas.
- Develop and implement cost-saving and margin improvement initiatives with operational stakeholders.
- Provide commercial support for tenders, pricing and sales opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making and risk management.
- Prepare, evaluate and support business cases and CAPEX proposals.
- Translate complex operational data into actionable commercial insights that support planning and performance improvement.
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives on partnering with operational leaders to drive business performance. A trusted advisor and natural problem solver, you enjoy turning financial data into meaningful insights and identifying opportunities to improve outcomes across the business.
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial finance, business partnering or FP&A role.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
- Experience supporting operational or industrial businesses in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities that improve cost efficiency, profitability and business performance.
- A collaborative approach with strong communication skills and a focus on delivering practical solutions.
