The Opportunity
As a Control Room Operator, you'll be the operational hub of the site, monitoring plant performance, coordinating activities across the facility, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of our production processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring all plant and equipment operating across the site
- Coordinating communication between the production floor, hardstand operations, maintenance teams and production management
- Recording, tracking and reporting plant downtime and operational performance
- identifying operational issues and coordinating resources to minimise disruptions
- Working closely with maintenance teams to manage equipment breakdown's and plant stoppages, including contacting on call personnel when required
- Supporting the supervision and operations of the site in the absence of Supervisor or Production Manager
- Overseeing vehicle movements to ensure safe and efficient site operations
- Maintaining accurate operational records and ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety standards
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders
- Calm under pressure and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using computer-based monitoring and reporting systems
- A natural problem solver who can think critically and prioritise effectively
- Committed to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
Experience in a control room, manufacturing, operations, logistics, transport, waste management, recycling, water and wastewater, composting, processing plant or similar environment will be highly regarded. However, we also welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Roster
This role operates on a structured rotating roster
- 4 Days on - 12hr shift - 5am to 5pm
- 4 Days off
- 4 Nights on - 12hr shift - 5pm - 5am
- 4 Days off
